You will really feel quite lazy and slow after working in office the whole day. Most of the time, you remain on your seat while there is a constant supply of tea and coffee. On several occasions, you will also get snacks, cookies and other such high sugar foods. In case you work in a metropolitan area, you will also get several lunch places outside your office full of tempting foods and it’s really difficult to stop yourself when all of your friends are heading towards them. But there are several ways to keep yourself healthy while working in an office.

Have a Jug of Water on Your Desk at All Times

Apart from several health benefits, water also keeps you more alert. The best thing to remain hydrated the whole day is to full a jug of water in the morning and put it on your table. It will help you not only to keep hydrated, energized and alert but also to eat less snacks. Try to drink minimum 2 liters of water.

Bake Your Own Snacks

It’s better to bake your own healthy snacks instead of using cookies from outside. The best option to get energy and protein is roasted chickpeas with paprika but you can also have protein balls or granola bars in order to satisfy your sweet taste buds. You can also get extra energy and sweetness by adding dry fruits in your routine.

Matcha Not Coffee

If you like drinking coffee then replace it with matcha. This drink also contains caffeine but you will feel fresher with this drink due to presence of antioxidants. You can also have matcha lattes that is delicious have several health benefits despite the presence of creamy texture.

Take Regular Breaks to Get Up and Walk

It is also a good idea to walk constantly after taking regular breaks from work. This can be done once every hour. It is a possibility by taking your coffee from outside, use stairs in place of elevator, drinking from water cooler away from you and take a long route towards bathroom. You will feel more alert even with two minutes of walk.

Work Out Before Work

You can easily miss the gym after work if the day was quite tough or it hasn’t gone according to plan. The best solution is to work out in the morning before your working hours. You will feel more energized with morning exercise as compared to coffee. By doing morning exercise, you can really beat your morning laziness.

Make and Bring Your Own Lunch

If you have something already prepared present in the fridge then you can easily avoid tasty lunches present outside. You will feel good by eating the self-prepared lunch as you will be aware about the things present in the lunch along with saving money. You can find dozens of lunch recipes and salad ideas at internet to try. You can also improve your cooking skills with this little trick.

Find a Healthy Buddy

A good friend will make it easier for you to stay motivated and healthy at the same time. After working together, start your workout also together, prepare your lunches together and purchase different items from grocery stores. Encourage each other is a good idea for both.

Make the Most of Your Lunch Break

You should use your lunch break to achieve something big. It doesn’t mean to get some shopping from sale but you can find a park to walk or run the block. It will make you feel more energy and freshness while you will be having a clear mind after utilizing your break well.

Start an Office Run Club

After getting perfection in the job, you can start inspiring your mates by starting an office run club. Make it a regular part of the job whether it is before or after work or during a lunch break. After starting it slowly for others, you can increase the speed and distance after every week.
