With one of our favorite topics, we’re gearing up for Oscar night: the red carpet hit by the megastars with a baby bump. Some of the biggest movie stars in the world have not only attended the Oscars while pregnant, but few of those same stars have also taken the coveted prize of night to their home.

Just a few months before giving birth to son Aleph, Natalie Portman won the Oscar for ‘best actress’ for her performance in “Black Swan”. And in support of “Chicago” at the 2003 Oscars, who can forget the performance of Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman won ‘best actress’ for her performance in “Black Swan” at the 2011 Oscars. She met choreographer Benjamin Millepied, her husband and father to her son, in that film. A stunning purple gown by Rodarte was worn by the six-months-pregnant actress. For the film, the design duo created her dramatic costumes.

Nicole Kidman
At the Oscars in 2008, Nicole Kidman was five months pregnant. With a L ‘Wren Scott diamond necklace, which weighed 1399 carats, she wore a simple black Balenciaga black gown.

Catherine Zeta-Jones
While 8 months pregnant with daughter Carys, Catherine Zeta-Jones won the ‘best supporting actress’ trophy at the 2003 Oscars for her role in “Chicago”. She accepted the award while saying that by dealing with this, her hormones are way too out of control.

Cate Blanchett
With one of the night’s most fashion-forward looks, a blue satin Dries van Noten gown, Cate Blanchett played up her pregnancy in 2008. For both ‘best actress’ and ‘best supporting actress’, Cate was nominated but the actress went home empty-handed, whose third child was due just couple of months after the award.

Paula Patton
Paula Patton wore bright tangerine Carolina Herrera gown in 2010 at the Oscars, where she supported her 8th months along baby bump and her film ”Precious”. A month later, her son Julian Fuego was born.

Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba’s feathered Marchesa gown, her deep plum, chic hairstyle and Cartier diamonds put her on many of the ‘best dressed’ lists of the year, though she wasn’t nominated at the 2008 Academy Awards. A few months after the ceremony, Jessica’s first daughter, Honor Warren, was born.

Marcia Gay Harden
While 7 months pregnant with the twins, Marcia Gay Harden hit the red carpet in 2003. Her bump was celebrated by her royal blue Badgley Mischka gown, lined with antique beads.

Naomi Watts
When Naomi watts hit the red carpet in 2007 wearing a lemon-yellow gown from escada, she hadn’t yet announced she was expecting her first child with beau Live Schreiber. But the rumor mill was set off by her slight bump. On 25th July of that year, the couple’s first son, Sasha, was born.

Amy Adams
In 2010, Amy was seven months pregnant and she didn’t attend the awards. But wearing a bump-revealing, bright blue Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti gown, she hit the ‘Vanity Fair’ Oscar party. On 15th may of that year, daughter Aviana was born.

Rachel Weisz
At the 2006 Oscars, Rachel Weisz took home the trophy for ‘best supporting actress’ for her performance in “The Constant Gardener”, where she was 7 months pregnant. For the actress, designer Narciso Rodriguez created three dresses to choose from. For the day of ceremony, she chose a black off-the-shoulder gown. In May 2006, son Henry was born.

Molly Sims
Though 2012 Oscars was not attended by Molly Sims but later that night to the ‘Vanity Fair’ Oscars party, she bring her 5 month bump out in towering heels and a magnificent, red Azzaro gown.

Alessandra Ambrosio
At the 2012 Academy Awards, Alessandra Ambrosio didn’t walk the red carpet but at Elton John’s Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party, she did make an appearance while she was pregnant with Noah, her son.

Georgina Chapman
In a floor-length dress with a jewel-encrusted bolero of her own Marchesa design, an eight-months-pregnant Georgina Chapman walked the Oscars last night.
