One word of caution to modern celebrities: no matter where you are, if you act out in a drunken and disorderly fashion, the world will be tweeting about it within seconds. That’s exactly what happened in New Orleans last night, where Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage was arrested after a scene with his wife (and probably lots of beer).
Cage had been booked on charges of domestic abuse battery, disturbing public order and public drunkenness. He was released on $ 11,000 us this morning. The charges related to the loud, drink-inspired argument with his wife before he insisted on building lease, but which, she said, was the house. Cage grabbed her hand and began to yell and push the car to find a taxi. When they arrived on the scene, police tried to calm him, but then he started arguing with them.
Although I’m sure it’s not the first time someone enters the argument of the French Quarter, if you a celebrity, he’s going to make news. And probably will be disappointing camera-phone or worse yet, a mug shot to go along with history.
