Katy Perry to Perform at 2015 Super Bowl Halftime Show
It seems that NFL has chosen Katy Perry to perform on ‘halftime show’ of next year after there was some doubt about the name of artist who’d perform for Super Bowl 2015, according to sources.
Katy was among the favorites in August for the options for big gig along with Rihanna and Coldplay. But Rihanna might not be able to perform soon anywhere after her song with Jay Z “Run This Town” was cancelled from the lineup of Thursday Night Football after Ray Rice scandal. About the choice of Katy Perry for the iconic performance, there is small interesting news.
Couple of months ago, after informing the musical acts of their application, the NFL also asked the representatives of the hitmaker if they are ready to contribute to the league a part of their income post-Super Bowl tour or in exchange for the halftime show, would they make anything else type of financial role.
Katy told during her recent appearance on College Game Day of ESPN that she will not pay anything to play the Super Bowl.
