Sharapova Launches Sunscreen

Maria Sharapova has become co-owner of Supergoop, a sun-protection brand, and thus added her business portfolio. The famous tennis player and celebrity says that she uses the brand’s sunscreen, Supergoop’s Everyday Face & Body Moisturizer, when she’s in tournaments or training. Along with that, she also wants to stress the importance of sun protection when not in the game.

She said that one should understand that the sunscreen is not only necessary at the time when you’re outside and it’s 100 degrees there but you even need that at a time when you have to go outside for just about 10 minutes. The sunscreen should also be used at even that time.

Her investment in the brand was said to be significant, though her stake wasn’t revealed. Sugarpova- which in August last year established to provide accessories and clothing – was her first business before that before this focus on business is not taking her away from tennis.

She told in an interview that she missed five to six months last year due to injury and it’s disturbing for an athlete for go through that phase of injury and rehabilitation. But now she’s looking forward as the French Open and Wimbledon and coming up. She added that it’s always feels good when you recovered from an injury and make your way back to the court.
