In the drunken driving case of Joe Simpson, he pleaded no contest, and he is sentenced to attend a class of alcohol education and to serve three years of probation.

On Tuesday, through his attorney, the father of Ashlee and Jessica Simpson entered the plea to one misdemeanor count; the papers were released on Friday, as according to the court. Dismissing of second count took place.
At about 10 a.m. night of last August, the 54 years old Simpson was pulled over in the Sherman Oaks area of LA, on the Ventura Boulevard. After his arrest, in the jail, he spent his whole night.
Simpson had “a couple of glasses of wine with his wife at the dinner,” and also voluntarily took a Breathalyzer, which was told to the PEOPLE by a source.
Meanwhile, Joe Simpson is also in the midst of a proceeding of divorce.
Last month, in Texas, a divorce was filed by the 52 years old wife of Simpson, citing “discord or conflict of personalities,” the papers of which obtained by the PEOPLE, as grounds in the court.
