The former bodyguard of Rihanna has sued Rihanna for allegedly making defamatory comments about him. Geoffery Keating, from Dublin, has claimed that the 26-year-old singer has made false and offensive statements about him in an email sent last July to him and his wife.
He also claimed that during a telephone call to his sister, the pop-Star used the same allegations to defame him. Between October 2012 and July 2013, Mr. Keating worked for Rihanna on her ‘Diamonds’ tour. He claimed that these comments by Rihanna has damaged the future of his business and also tarnished his reputation. The former bodyguard not only wants the singer to publish an apology of the alleged defamation but also wants to seek damages against her.
Gerald Kean, his lawyer, presented the legal papers to the singer in New York City at her home on 28th April.
Mr. Kean said that they’re taking this battle very seriously and are satisfied to seek justice through Irish courts.
