Malala Yousafzai is the role model for Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon. During the ceremony of “Variety Power of Women Unit”, Reese said that Malala is her role model and she has met Malala before.
Reese told that she and her 15-year-old daughter met Malala during a dinner at a friend’s house while Malala and her daughter talked about the education and their life which changed the thought of her daughter about education.
Her daughter was not interested in her education before but now she is working hard on her studies and also started a social work for girls’ rights. Reese told that at 14 years of age, it was difficult for her to learn lines of dialogues but Malala has proved herself a role model for others due to her courage and efforts for education of girls.
