After Armani, Hugo Boss is well known as global giant considering suitable label in the world. This fashion house is busy in making suits for the last forty five years and spread in the fashion market. It has six hundred outlets throughout the world in about 108 countries. It is busy in providing dresses and other fashionable products varying from urban to demi-bespoke, this brand continues to extend its access to the world markets.

An Austrian tailor Hugo Boss established it in 1923. In the beginning, Hugo Boss started working as workwear and in the ‘60s preparing male dresses and again in 1970 exhibited the fashion brand Boss. It was listed in German stock exchange in 1985 and a lot of shareholding of Hugo Boss GmbH was acquired by Italian fashion group Marzotto SpA in 1991.  Marzotto transformed the Boss with younger directional Hugo brand and more decent baldessarini brand.

Lothar Reiff headed the Boss which was divided into different categories just like Boss Selection which deals with demi-bespoke suiting, Boss black deals in mainline, Boss Orange maintain urban sportswear, Boss green functions with active sportswear with Hugo womenswear exhibited in 1998 and Boss black womenswear showcased in 2000.

Marzotto told that Boss menswear earned 1,000 million and womenwear earned 69 million in 2004. Hugo Boss made a plan to adopt the policy of linking the brand to exclusive male sports, like their early sponsorship deals with Prosche in 1971, the Davis cup in 1988, Seve Ballesteros also in 1988, AC Milan in 1995 and Chelsea FC in 2004. The brand house has also got affiliation for sailing and sponsored Hugo Boss Farr 65 in the Fastnet race in 2003 like Prada group CEO Patrizio Bertelli.

Hugo Boss has set up his biannual Hugo Boss Art Prize in 1996 with coordination of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York.
