Julien Macdonald exhibiting his upcoming brand of showgirl beauty said that he liked glamorous dresses and did not care for the people for what they were saying.

Macdonald’s mother was held knitting circle at her home in the Welsh village of Merthyr Tydfil which fascinated him so much. He got admission and started studying fashion textiles at Brighton University where he got scholarship at London’s Royal College of Art by his decent knitwear expertise. He passed his graduation in 1996with stylish collection designed by Isabella Blow which he had already designed for Koji Tatsuno, Alexander McQueen and Karl Lagerfeld. Macdonald’s knitwear was placed in the pages of i-D by Lagerfeld and hired his services as head designer for Chanel Collection in 1997.

Obviously dedicated to feminine shape, Macdonald developed knitwear with his dazzling red carpet creations. Julien Macdonald’s catwalk products comprising of spice girls and looking alike Michael Jackson and also exhibited autumn/winter 2001 held at the Millennium Dome and directed by Hype William, a hip hop video supremo and got reputation as show master.

He was awarded with British Glamour Designer of the Year for the first time in 2001 and again in 2003, Julien Macdonald introduced his high-octane street style to couture house Givenchy and got the position of Alexander McQueen as creative director. He tried to increase the sale for the comfortable brand despite fashion critics has criticized his products. For the next three years he presented some farewell shows for autumn/winter 2004. Julien Macdonald carried on displaying of  his glamorous stocks in London where he also watch house hold collection along with perfumes and high street lines.
