The house of Missoni was set up in 1953 by Rosita and Ottavio Missoni which is working for more than 50 years. They started a small knitwear factory and followed traditional Italian handicraft techniques which are popular comfort brand whose technical modern techniques and free thinking have various ideas of knitwear. He also held a useful meeting with Emmanuelle Khanh in Paris for which they collaborated and the first Missonui catwalk show was held in Florence in 1967.

During the period of 1970, the Missoni has infused organic fabrics which are a mastery of color and certainly well known motifs stripes, zig-zags, Greek keys and space-dyed weaves. The layered mismatching of pattern and color, mainly in the form of slinky knits which has become familiar with Missoni inspiring the American press to elaborate the look as “put-together”.

Angela Missoni has developed the brand through her imagination since she has started her duties for designing in 1997 which also introduces the floral and even denim and not lose the taste of classic Missoni. She had been doing working with her mother for 30 years, Angela started her own brand under which collection were exhibited and she bed came Missioni’s overall creative director when her parent retired after some period later. Angela has also transformed the girlish look to Missoni archive with tailored lines and sassy slim line suiting. Missoni also attracted a large number of people and maintained her kudos of cool which she set up in ‘70s decade. It was instantly refer to the mass market the Missoni style looks very familiar with red carpet as it does in the wardrobe of modern day bohemians.
