Vivienne Westwood was very famous and legendary fashion designer who inspires many designers as well as her clients who designed delightful dresses. She was born in Derbyshire in 1941. Her brand became famous after making a partnership with Malcolm McLaren and designed punk uniform. She opened her shop in world’s End Chelsea where dresses of Rock, sex, expeditionary, pirates and buffalo girls were displayed there. These collections were classical and served to challenge the common preconceptions of fashion.
After indulging in partnership with McLaren, Westwood became one of the reversed figures of the fashion industry. She did not get any training but she achieved great successes in her career. She was also honored with six most impressive designers of all time on Women’s Wear Daily in ‘80s and Victoria and Albert Museum made arrangements for traveling exhibition in 2004 to define her iconic status. This travelling tour will continued for 7 years and visited Australia, China and USA.
Her collection and designs have intellectual touch to explore her creative energy. She also won various awards including British Designer of the Year award two times.
Now she is exhibiting her ready-to-wear female collection in Paris and male wear collection in Milan. Although the interest in vintage Westwood has never been so much strong, but her diffusion line Anglomania consistently give reference her pieces from her previous stocks. Westwood also showed three best selling fragrance like Libertine, Boudoir, and Anglomania and this brand has also a vast network of its outlets in various countries throughout the world consisting of Hong Kong, Italy and Japan.
