As you know, I’m not a fan of celebrities dressed in black pumps on the red carpet. They always seem to be the safe choice, and it is unpleasant to see the same heel on the red carpet from time to time when so many other styles and colors that are out there … Thank God for Leighton Meester.

Recently, celebrities have been avoiding the sometimes formal black pump in favor of a more severe color: red.

This month, the red shoes have been popping up all over the red carpet, like the red dress trend for an Emmy this weekend.

I only own a pair of red ballet flats studded, but these ladies have inspired me to look for some red shoes.

I think that will be wearing red pumps to add some excitement to my mind, as Sveva Alviti did during the Venice Film Festival, and not to go for complete, from head to foot, fire-engine red, like Dita Von Teese.
