On Saturday night her Miu Miu club event in Paris had a fragrance launch, a comprehensive cocktail hour, her resort 2016 collection showcase and an extensive party containing top flight tech house skill starring by Seth Troxler, Cassy and Craig Richards. Oh and those famous party animals, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell as well.
The Conseil Economique, Social et Environmental had been decorated along with industrial scaffolding, neon lights, multiple bars serving lethal pink margaritas and a monumental DJ booth pumping out the beats. Finally, the lights revealed and the soundtrack changed to show music pinging from snippets of Kraftwerk to Jaydee’s “Plastic Dreams,” rave-era precursors to today’s EDM juggernaut.
Models wiped the border on a steel scaffold in clothes which were as chaotic and noisy and fun as the party, moving Miu Miu further then its usual lady as retro retreads into more raw and impulsive fashion territory. As the latest fragrance, along with its major lily of the valley note housed in a ambivalent quilted turquoise bottle, here was a invigorated, younger and more bold Miu Miu.
