Mofe Mai is a suburban area of French capital Paris and a multi cultural fashion design program was conducted here in which Pakistani women participated with zeal. The ceremony was illuminated with the Pakistani songs on their performance. Mayor of the area, M Lemoin Hain, said during the occasion that Asifa Shah did a superb job in the program. He was given an award on her best performance. She said that she has been receiving this award since 2008. It was a good effort as the way she prepared the design of Pakistani dress and demonstrated it. Madame Princess Esther Kamatari said that the aim of this multi global dress culture program was to aware the local people from the dress and culture of communities residing in France while Pakistani women highlighted their national dress very well with their best performance. Famous political and social personality Asifa Hashmi said that the reason to participate in programs like this is to make more friends of Pakistan so that such face of Pakistan should be presented which is need of the day.
The Pakistani dress performers in the show, Shehla Rizvi and Nasira Khan, said that their aim was to tell them that there is no reality in the propaganda spread about Pakistan. Islam gives freedom and complete rights to women. Only the thinking should be positive. In this program, over 300 women of different countries from Japan, Europe and African countries participated and displayed their dress and culture.
