Salma Hayek mentioned on Monday that the animated feature movie called “The Prophet” which was produced by her has been a personal passion project; she is expecting that she could inspire young viewers to think outside the box regarding the ways to improve the world.

She is visiting Lebanon, which is her ancestral homeland, regarding the international permiere of the movie; this movie has been written and directed by Roger Allers, who is the maker of the Disney production “The Lion King.”

Today is the birthday of actor Dev Patel… happy birthday, Dev!

Patel, who is best known for her role as the plucky, awkward but heroic Jamal in the Oscar-winning film “Slumdog Millionaire”, is 21 today.  I loved him in the TV series “Skins”, and of course, as the voice of Prince Zuko in the live-action “The Last Airbender” movie. What is Dev up to these days?  Well, his newest film, “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel,”  due out later this year.
