People Magazine is reporting that actress Amy Smart and her new beau, handyman hottie Carter Oosterhouse, are engaged.

The couple began dating in November and was involved recently. Smart’s rep confirmed the engagement to People. If you think that six months is not a very long time to date before getting engaged, remember, this is Hollywood, where things move much faster than they do in ordinary life.
