Matches fashion and Vivienne Westwood have come together to create something truly wonderful, just in time for party season. On the Red Carpet Collection, the Brit retailer and the fashion legend have collaborated a range of gowns and evening dresses that hark back to the bygone era days, when glamour was paramount. Not a huge surprise coming from a designer who is celebrated and known for her historical references and hourglass gowns.

This fact is even more exciting that from the designer’s autumn ’81 Pirate collection, each of the five dresses carries the iconic “squiggle” print. So, literally, these pieces have future-heirloom status written all over them, basically.

Westwood herself said, these “clothes allow you to project your personality, and are quite theatrical in the sense that they are real clothes, well-designed, and they give you a chance to express yourself.” There is no need to tell this again. Daisy Lowe has lent her considerable modeling services for the collection and the entire collection goes on sale on Oct 09. Check out ahead a sneak peek of the shoot.
