2007 is just a little blip on Britney Spears radar, at this point in her career. She’s been back is not a secret – for whatever party foul Blackout was, Femme Fatale and Circus more than made up. But Spears is crowning herself queen, with “Work B*tch” her poppy club banger ode to Rosie the Riveter.
Spears has put out seven chart-topping LPs in her 15 years as one of pop’s biggest icons. Promising as one of her biggest is her eighth full-length album, December’s Britney Jean. Now we have our second glimpse into the new era of Spears’ oeuvre, as the album art has been released. Spear’s signature in neon lights signals a more personal direction than her previous, similar to Femme Fatale’s art. After all, it is her 2nd self-titled album.
Spears penned a letter to her fans to commemorate the release, describing who she worked with on the album, what to expect and her joy in sharing it with all of us.
