When it comes to my hair color, I’m pretty low-maintenance. Monthly trips to a colorist are not required y me as I do indulge in regular messages and weekly manicures. But over the years I’ve experimented with all-natural color enhancers because I still like to keep bright my natural-looking blonde. Whether your hair is colored in a saloon or naturally blond, these common kitchen ingredients can keep your hair looking shiny and boost your hair color. They can be less damaging to our hair than salon treatment if used moderately.

Without spending hours and hundreds of dollars in a saloon, the four mentioned tricks are given here.
Lemon Juice

I remember when we’d had to go to beach in childhood, my mom spray lemon juice on my hair. It really works as it is testify by the thing that this natural remedy has been around forever. It is because when citric acid present in lemon juice heats up in the sun, hair cuticles are opened and brought the pigment out. Before you head outside, just sprinkle some lemon juice on your hair with a spray bottle (water should be three times the lemon juice). The amazing bleaching properties of lemon juice can also be seen while using lemon juice over a cut apple to keep away from browning.

Chamomile Tea

Another natural hair lightener is Chamomile which is better for brunettes as it is more gradual than lemon juice another. Just brew some chamomile tea and later rinse your hair with tea after cooling down. Do it in the shower using shampoo and conditioner.

Honey

Surely honey would be deeply conditioning though I never used it myself. Enzyme peroxide is present in honey and it can be activated by mixing distilled water to become an effective lightener. Along with that, the pst-honey treatment will make you feel your hair soft and smell yummy.

Beer

Though, it seems strange but my few friends have experimented their hair by rinsing with beer for once or more and acclaim about its lightening properties. Of course use a light beer and remember not to use this method right before you go to a get-together or a party. It will create the bad smell of beer and everyone will think you drank a lot during daytime.

But all these natural methods are effective if you’re a natural blonde, otherwise the only option is salon highlights. But these natural methods are effective, impressive and low-cost if you want to add extra brightness to your natural light brown or blonde hair. It should also be kept in mind that these methods may not produce results immediately. To gradually lighten your locks with time, I recommend repeating these DIY beauty treatments frequently.
