Mel C has conquered her fear of food finally, according to herself. The singer (40) has adopted 80/20 rule for diet which means from Monday to Friday, she watches what she eats but at the weekend, she indulges herself.

Mel told that she’s learnt not to be afraid of food with 80/20 rule where she tries to be healthy through the week and became a lot more relaxed in front of her daughter Scarlet, at the weekends.

About the impact having a child has had on her diet is not the first time Mel has spoken. She said in the past that Scarlet has saved her. She admitted that when she was in the band, she was so focused on her weight that she hardly ate and exercised obsessively. As her bump grew, she suddenly felt more comfortable eating healthy and became proud of her body.

Now, Mel has taken up yoga and had cut her training sessions down to four from six-a-week.

She revealed that about certain parts of her body, she felt most of her 20s feeling self-conscious, but she felt more feminine when got older.

She added that having a child made her a lot kinder to herself and it makes you realize how incredible your body is. To finally love myself physically, becoming a mum gave me the freedom.
