Roberto Cavalli Spring 2016 RTW Collection
Read the show notes for Peter Dundas’ comes out for first time as creative director of Roberto Vacalli, he is founding under new ownership following the Italian private equity firm Clessidra SGR brought a 90% stake this year.
Dundas mentioned backstage “It’s a homecoming.” He had cycled via Emanuel Ungaro and Emilio Pucci in the decade from the time his first stint at the Florence based house Roberto built.
The designer appreciated the capabilities of Cavalli’s ateliers to understand Flintstones esque gowns and tops, swinging chain embroidered vest and milk maiden gowns in tie dyed silks, all differ from the baroque, super polished approach of yore.
