At the Academy Awards, the hair and makeup looks were the kind that deserved double takes definitely, though the beauty wasn’t exactly the most daring we’ve ever seen. With occasional pops of bright color and mostly neutral makeup, the women of the Oscars were all rocking a super-subtle, down-played sort of glamour.
As for the hair, think tousled, soft, effortless and touchable. To went into the creation of these stunners, there was of course a lot of hard work and effort, both personal and professional. But we got the feeling that our favorite looks were inspired by the actresses’ desire to look like themselves this year, between Olivia Wilde’s sultry cat-eye and Emma Watson’s beachy ponytail. And any other way, we wouldn’t have it.
