Alanis Morissette claimed that her pet dog was stolen by her former housekeeper.
Against Maria Garcia, the ‘Head Over Feet’ hitmaker and her husband Mario Treadway have filed a lawsuit while claiming she has the pouch and refused to return it to them, whose name is ‘Circus’.
On the streets on 2011, the couple found the Chihuahua/Pug cross. They also have two-year-old son ‘Ever’. After taking him to an animal shelter, where he went unclaimed, they adopted him. However in January, after Maria was fired from her role as House Manager, she sent an email to the business manager of her former employers that as part of her severance package, she wanted ‘ownership’ of circus because when the musicians went on tour, she was frequently left to care for him and she was close to him.
But in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Alanis and Mario have filed a lawsuit in which they want the judge to ‘order’ the return of their pet and also asking their ex-employee for over $25,000.
The 39-year-old singer has a busy year ahead along with her legal battle, as she is working on a Broadway musical based on her iconic album “Jagged Little Pill” and also has a world tour planned.
