Remember the Oscars? Remember how Anne Hathaway and James Franco hosted them? And remember how Anne Hathaway tried so hard and changed her clothes so many times while Franco just stood there doing his math homework in his head? I do. And Billy Crystal does too, because he’s talking about how the show needs to change and should never be hosted by those two clowns again. In an interview withThe Associated Press, Crystal said he’d consider hosting the Academy Awards for a ninth time if producers completely revamped it and got rid of all the boring stuff. He said, “I think the show needs to change. There’s too many awards and it has to sort of freshen itself up, and if I can be a part of that, that would be great.”
It’s funny though, because hiring Hathaway and Franco to host was the Academy trying to freshen itself up. Obviously they didn’t take it far enough because they allowed a dead Bob Hope to show up, and because the funniest part was when the guy who hosted the show 8 times got up on stage and told some jokes.
