Guy Clark Dies at 740 Comments

It’s so sad to hear that legendary star Guy Clark has passed away at the age of 74. Now famous stars of country music are expressing their thoughts over the death of Guy.

Guy Clark has just lost a long battle against cancer. He produced 13 studio albums of his own during his 40 years stay in Nashville while he also achieved fame for writing songs for other country singers including Kenny Chesney, Johnny Cash and others. Now these country stars are expressing their sorrows at his death.

Name of Guy Clark is not very famous but his songs are much renowned as he wrote songs for many popular singers and artists of the time including Willie Nelson, Ricky Skaggs, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Jimmy Buffett, Vince Gill and Brad Paisley.

The songs and poetic lyrics of Guy was mostly about idealistic persons and travelers. “Desperados Waiting For A Train” and “L.A. Freeway” were his most famous hits while his debut album was “Old No. 1” that released in 1975. His first country hit “Heartbroke” released in 1982 while he received the Grammy Award for Best Folk Album for his most recent album “My Favorite Picture of You” reelased in 2013.

Once, he told about his profession that he enjoys songwriting. This thing always goes harder with time but he enjoys doing the creative process of songwriting. He likes to do different experiments with songwriting and he would like to pass his whole life doing the same thing.
