The songs are likely to start surfacing, with just about a fortnight away from Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP official release date. Aside from last August’s “Aura”, the first one has finally reached on to the web.
At this year’s iTunes Festival, the heavy-hitting EDM track Gaga performed “Swine”, is here. To her rise on the top, the song recounts the degradations, hardships and glass ceilings she had to endure. In this case, the man is a pig. For a song about a filthy human being, her and DJ White Shadow created a filthy beat. It would be an understatement to say it’s an aggressive performance. She combined dark electronic beats with rock vocals that may not be too radio friendly, but for nocturnal dance-hall hours, it is definitely ripe.
This is definitely more than a demo version, though not be the official-album version; it’s pretty darn polished, aside from some odd vocal synths before the chorus. You sure as hell do now, if you didn’t know ARTPOP was coming.
