We’d just like to point out that this slicked-back look is what we’ve been hoping for, while we’re not going to take credit for the truly fabulous way Jennifer Lawrence styled her new pixie at the premiere of The Hunger games. We suspect the issue was in the styling, while her drastic chop has been the recipient of less-than-kind words from her ‘fans’. After all, we’ll admit that even for America’s cutest BFF, her side fringe is truly hard to pull off.
Now that we’ve seen it in all of its red carpet glory, we’ve zero issue with this style. The pompadour-inspired, soft ‘do is equal parts edgy and chic and the way it allows us to see her whole face, we love it. After all behind her hair, J. Lawr really doesn’t need to be hiding.
Her deep side-part is our favorite part of this style. With the top of her hair combed back and the hair on her side tightly behind her ear, it creates definition and depth. We can just see her effortlessly tousling those newly shorn locks back by running her fingers back through it. Of course we know that it takes a lot of hairspray in keeping hair back like that.
For the future of this haircut, we’re extraordinarily hopeful. It seems that she’s just getting started in terms of blowing people’s mind.
