As contrary to normal belief, the real beauty of the Opening Ceremony of Rio Olympics was neither Gisele’s shiny parade or Stella McCarthy outfits nor beautiful dashikis of Cameroon team but in fact the most inspiring thing was the presence of Brazilian transgender model Lea T who was ahead of the Brazilian team during the opening ceremony of the tournament.

The supermodel, who rose to prominence during Givenchy campaign, is the first transgender to lead the campaign of a team in Olympics. Her frock resembled the Brazilian flag while she paired them with white sneakers. She was riding a bike decorated with national flag.

This event clearly showed that the transgender community is coming well ahead as compared to the past and the reason behind this change is due to efforts by people like Caitlyn Jenner. In 2015, the International Olympic Committee had the opinion not to include transgender athletes in their teams. But now the organization is taking a mild attitude on this matter. In 2016 Olympics, several players (around 43) of athletes are LGBTQIA.

The model said after performing such role that the message is clear through this gesture that everyone is part of these games irrespective of his religion, gender or race. All human beings are part of this society and it sends the message to them.

People can easily find about the famous transgender people like Caitlin and Lea. It was also accepted by Lea during an interview in 2015 as she is the daughter of famous Brazilian footballer Toninho Carezo.
