Sophia Kokosalaki was born in Athens in 1973. In the beginning she loved to study literature, Greek and English at the University of Athens. Then she migrated to London in 1996 and exhibited her complete women collection MA at central Saint Martins. She has to work with Abigail; Lane for her graduation show in order to produce video installation ‘Never Never Mind’ and London boutique Pellicano snapped her graduation collection.
Kokosalaki established her own brand in 1999 and then her own trademark style, showing the rich heritage of Ancient Greek drapery, a ‘70s folk aesthetic and complex leather work. Sophia Kokosalaki also started working on a knitwear line in June 1999 for Joseph. She had displayed three solo stocks by 2000 and she was also worked as guest designer for Italian leather goods brand Ruffo Research. She was also enjoyed the flexible end of the fashion market and also produced two capsule collections for Topshop’s TS brand.

She was assigned the task of designing costumes for the Athens Olympic Games for the year 2004, which was highlighted by a vast marine-blue dress worn by Bjork. In spite of more pressing extracurricular activities, her day job has flourished. Men collection was also established in 2000 and shoe collection was also included in 2003. She also won various awards for her stunning exhibitions in which the first award of Art Foundation Award was given to a fashion designer.

Sophia Kokosalaki consistently worked on her themes and gave progress to them also and her fans visit her collection every season. She also exhibited her Spring/Summer 2005 collection saw delicate seaside feel and strategic move to the Paris schedule.
