On 20th May, Blake Shelton (39) has just released his autobiographical new album that produces the happy and sad effects simultaneously. There is lot about his breakup with Miranda Lambert (32) and finding later love Gwen Stefani (46) in this album but his fans will also lyrics about the country life of his home town.
The title of the album is quite suitable as he talked about half of his half including last year in this completely autobiographical album. But it’s not the first time that she expressed his feelings through his songs. His first single “Come here to Forget” was about her relations with Gwen while both also performed together during “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” which was also about their emotions for each other. The touching “Bet You Still Think About Me” was sung clearly while memorizing Miranda.
In the song “A Guy With A Girl”, he is the guy in the arms of the girl while she rejects everyone else in the room which shows that it was also about her beautiful girlfriend. It was later admitted by Blake that initially she took him in parties where there were lots of her friends and he remained uncomfortable in these parties.
Apart from being dishearten and in love, he also presented his country life and the greenery of farm which seems to be in Oklahoma ranch. Country songs are also present in good numbers in this album but it is mainly about love and pain.
A Gospel song “Savior’s Shadow” is the first song of the album while the last song is “Friends”. This album will surely be liked by both young and old.
