Frida Giannini pushed the Gucci which is the most prominent status brand of the late 20th century into the modern fashion industry in March 2005. She has designed exclusive and brilliant accessories and female collection which oozes out most fabulous style with pencil skirts, dazzling sportswear and excellent eveningwear. This look is designed by the former designer of Gucci, Tom Ford during the ‘90s.

The company named as Guccio Gucci was established in 1931 as a saddler shop in Florence which is a traditionally family run Italian business. The grandson Maurizio, of Gucci sold his final share of this brand in 1993. When Tom Ford joined the company in the mid ‘90s, the image of the brand was dwindling from autumn/winter 1995. Ford designed full ladies collection for Gucci which was supported by slick advertising campaign shot by Mario Testino and some other hard working celebrities.

In 2004, Ford departed from Gucci and its parent company, the Gucci Group which was also responsible for controlling others brands like Stella McCartney, Yves saint Laurent Rive Gauche, Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen and new management filled the position of Ford with a team of three who were all promoted internally like John Ray, for male collection, Alessandra Facchinetti for ladies collection and Frida Giannini for accessories.
