Well known for the fresh, excellent stitching and delicate tailoring, Christopher Lemaire of Lacoste is busy in maintaining his quality than the blindly following the trend set by others. He shows the graphic, pure, relaxed and precise and he also keeps balance between fashion and function, creating classic and wearable dresses for many seasons.

Christopher Lemaire was born in April 1965 in Besangon, France. In the starting, he worked as assistant at Yves Saint Laurent design studio and then worked for Thierry Mugler and Jean Patou. While working at Jean Patou he had to meet with Christian Lacroix and he was so much fascinated by his abilities that he offered him job for his own female ready-to-wear line in1987. Christopher Lemaire worked alone for his exclusive female brand in 1990. The qualities of functional designing along with understated excellence give assurance for the success of brand and male collection brand in next year 1994.

Christopher Lemaire became the creative director of his sportswear brand Lacoste in May 2001 and also worked hard for setting up his company again on the fashion map. He inducted sharp style into classic like tennis skirt, polo skirt or preppy college jumper which got attention of new clients while maintaining their 70s years old tradition of the brand. Lacoste arranged first catwalk show. For celebrating a true fashion DJ, Lemaire combines western classics with one of kind of ethnic pieces for his own collection of dresses. He also works not in large number but in very limited and from piece to piece. He always took time to distance himself from things that are not in fashion. He kept balance between beauty and function to create of contemporary easy wearing.
